The whole process usually takes no more than 5 minutes and we will need the following:
A phone to send notifications from (this is the phone that will scan the QR code);
A laptop/tablet/phone to access the personal account (from this device will be read QR code).
Please note that the WhatsApp account to be connected must be created at least 7 days before connection, and the account must be used to communicate.
Instructions for connecting
1. Open the ALTEGIO → Integrations → Notifications section from your computer/tablet/phone. Select Integrilla from the list of integrations. On the opened page, click the Settings tab.
2. In the block with the title WhatsApp, click on the text on the red background that says "Scan QR".
3. After clicking on the text, a window with a QR code will open. There will also be a "Reset" button in it if you need to connect another phone.
4. Now you need to take the phone from which notifications will be sent with installed WhatsApp Business, open the WhatsApp app and click:
⚙ (iPhone) or ⋮ (Android) → Linked devices → Link a device
5. The camera will open, which you need to point to the QR code that we opened in the previous step.
6. After successful scanning, the text Online will be displayed in a few seconds, and a new device will appear in the application on the phone.
Instructions for connecting from page with qr-code
The scan must be performed directly from the link in the browser. You cannot bind the device from a screenshot, as the code is dynamic and updates every 10 seconds.
Open the link to the QR code page that came with the connection instructions on a computer, tablet, or phone (in this case, the QR code must be enlarged to full screen).
The page will open with a QR code, a brief instruction, buttons for Reset (if you need to bind another phone to send notifications), Support (if you need technical support), and How to scan (link to detailed instructions).
Now you need to take the phone from which notifications will be sent, open the WhatsApp application and press:
⚙ (iPhone) or ⋮ (Android) → Linked devices → Link a device
The camera will open, which you need to point at the qr that we opened in the previous step.
After a successful scan, after a few seconds, the text Online will be displayed on a green background in your personal account, and a new device will appear in the application on your phone.
At this point, the setup is complete, you can close the page with the QR code.
Possible errors
As a rule, the QR code is scanned without any problems, but there are cases when the WhatsApp application displays an error. Let's analyze the most common ones:
It is currently not possible to bind new devices
Make sure that the scanning is done directly from the personal account/QR code page, not from a screenshot, and try again.
Invalid QR code
Click the "Reset" button, wait a few minutes and scan again.
Additional tips
We recommend using the WhatsApp Business application on the phone for the correct operation of the integration.
Make sure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
If you are still having problems connecting, try restarting both devices.
If the camera for scanning QR code isn't working on the device from which notifications will be sent, please contact support.
